HR Truck Driver

• Location: Hume, ACT
• Pay Rate: $38.08/hr + Overtime & Penalty Rates (Gross Earnings up to $2600/week)
• Status: Ongoing Contract (Temp-to-Perm potential)
• Hours: Full-Time hours (Monday to Friday, 4:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Flexibility: Occasional weekend rosters potentially available

The Role

Join a high-energy team based at our Hume facility and play a vital role in keeping the ACT clean and sustainable. We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused HR Waste Truck Driver to handle local collection and transport routes. If you enjoy the stability of a local routine, driving modern fleet vehicles, and being home every afternoon, this is the role for you.

Your Day-to-Day

• Route Operations: Safely operating Heavy Rigid (HR) waste vehicles (Rear Loader, Front Lift, or Hook Lift) across designated commercial or residential routes.
• Collection & Transport: Efficiently collecting, transporting, and tipping waste, recycling, or organic materials at authorized transfer stations and landfills.
• Safety First: Conducting daily pre-start vehicle inspections, keeping accurate run sheets, and strictly adhering to on-site environmental and safety protocols.

What You Need

• Licence: A valid, unrestricted Australian Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence with a clean commercial driving history.
• Experience: Previous experience in waste management or heavy local multi-drop transport is highly regarded, but drivers with strong heavy-vehicle handling are encouraged to apply.
• Clearance: Must be able to pass a standard police check and a Drug & Alcohol test
